Have you heard of smart homes? We are retrofitting ours to become one. It is worse than moving into a new home, but will be so rewarding when we are through. We have added a Honeywell system for better interior climate control in our hot Texas summers. It will work in connection with the security system by Honeywell's Ademco unit someday. We will be adding some special lighting features using Insteon in the future. We expect this project to take several years to complete. In between this updating we will be having the house painted and floors being redone. |
